From Tamara

Dear Dr. Sahakian,

This letter is long overdue, and for that I apologize, however, I want you to know how grateful my husband and I are to you and your staff!
Our daughter Ashley Lauren was born October 9, and she was healthy, happy and beautiful! What a blessing and a miracle she is to us and we owe her being here to you!
How does a couple begin to thank you enough or show their gratitude to you? There just are not any words available that are powerful or that will come close to express how we fell and how much we appreciate what you’ve done for us be I’d like to try.
As you may remember, I was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in October of 1985. I was told at that time that if I was (to ever) get pregnant that the tumor could grow enough that it might kill me and since I would never choose abortion, I decided to have a tubal ligation. With that decision I basically decided at the young age of 18 that if I wanted children, whom I did, that I would have to adopt. Ten years later, with my tumor having been completely removed, I was told that I now could carry a baby, but I had my tubes (still) tied, which led us to you!
Now we have a beautiful baby girl after more than 10 years and we could not be happier!
