Dear Dr. Sahakian,
Everything is
going
well. I’ve seen my O.B. twice now and he said everything looks great
and very normal.
I wanted to write you and let you know how much I
appreciated your inexhaustible effort to help me get pregnant. I know my
IVF cycles took their toll on you too. During the 1st cycle I was
excited and hopeful, during the 2nd I was guardedly optimistic. The
third and forth were nearly unbearable. I was especially anxious and
pessimistic during the last cycle. It was during the last two cycles I
learned about your character as a doctor and a person.
The fact that
we are now pregnant means you are an excellent doctor in the field of
fertility. The fact that you always had time to listen to my fretting
and counter my concerns with optimism and hope means you are the
absolute topmost person in the field of life. Every couple seeking
infertility help should be so lucky to have you as a doctor and personal
friend to guide them.
I know we have not yet had the baby, but no
matter what happens, this thank you letter has been long deserved.
