I would like to share our success story with you and your patients. My husband and I were married in October of 1995. We knew we would have trouble conceiving due to previous female problems. I had undergone three female surgeries for cysts and scar tissue removal of the fallopian tubes. After the first surgery, I was left with only one fallopian tube and one ovary. Unfortunately, scar tissue continued to form over my only fallopian tube, thus preventing us from conceiving. Our only chance of having any biological children was in-vitro. Due to my age of 41, we knew we had to do something fast as time was not on our side. After going through two previous doctors and three failed in-vitros, we came to you. We had heard so many positive things about you, your clinic successes that we decided to give it one last try before checking into adoption. When we first spoke with you on the phone before meeting you, our first impression of you was comfort. We met with you in June of 2000, and since I had tried three previous in-vitros with my own eggs and other contributing factors, you suggested egg donation. Our hope was to use my own eggs, but we trusted your advice and you referred us to an egg donation facility you have worked with in the past. By July of 2000 we met with the lady at the egg donation facility and within weeks, selected an egg donor. The egg donor met with your and met with your approval. So began the process of her fertility shots and medications. You kept us informed of how things were going with our egg donor and by September 2000, you were ready to retrieve her eggs and combine them with my husband’s sperm. On September 14, 2000, we came into your clinic for the embryo transfer. Out of the fifteen eggs that were retrieved from our donor and combined with my husband’s sperm, five embryos survived. After much discussion with you, we decided to transfer four embryos into my uterus. Before the month of September was over, we were pregnant. We were in total shock and amazement. Everything had gone so smoothly and easily at your clinic, we were in disbelief. You, your staff and your click are ranked number one in our eyes. You were so comforting and supportive, unlike any previous doctors we had dealt with. Your staff was professional, pleasant and helpful and we fast became friends. We will never forget the phone call telling us we were pregnant. After 4 ½ years of undergoing infertility treatments and disappointments, we were finally pregnant. My pregnancy was not exactly an easy one, but I loved every minute of it. (well, maybe not the morning sickness the entire pregnancy). But, it was a small price to pay for the gift we would be receiving. As the months grew on and my belly got bigger and bigger, the reality of our child being born felt more and more within our reach. When I first felt the baby move inside of me, I just couldn’t believe it. All of the things I had hoped and prayed for for so long, were actually happening to us. I have to tell you there were times before we got pregnant that I thought it would never happen to us. My hopes were fading fast by the time we came to see you. I went into labor a month early due to high blood pressure, but our son was born healthy and happy weighing 6lbs. 4oz. During his birth, I still couldn’t believe we were finally going to have our baby. I felt like I was watching a movie or having a dream. But once they put my son in my arms, I knew it was real. This tiny little miracle was not a dream, he was real and he was ours. We truly believe had we not come to you when we did, we would not have our son. God worked a miracle through your hands and wisdom, and we are forever thankful to you. I hope you know the happiness you have put in our lives as well as many others. Because of you, there is life; Because of you, there is happiness; Because of you, there is love. Every night I rock my son to sleep, I look at him and know how blessed we are to have him. I thank God every day for giving him to us and I also thank you for our blessing. Thank you will never be enough to express our gratitude. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
