I would like to take a moment to tell you about a Couple, A Doctor, and a Dream come true. My husband Dave and I wanted nothing more than to have a family of our own. I was told at the age of 28 that my fallopian tubes were damaged as well as closed. I had surgery to correct the problem and then tried for 10 years to get pregnant. We became more aggressive in 1998 with 9 months of artificial inseminations and two rounds of failed IVF with another physician. One day while talking with a friend I learned about Dr. Sahakian. Dave and I decided to consult with him, and within fifteen minutes of meeting him and his fantastic staff, we knew we were in the best hands.
We kept our hopes high and positive attitudes and began our first round of IVF with Dr. Sahakian. Can you imagine our excitement when we heard for the first time “you test is positive, you are pregnant”. So at the age of 40, I gave birth to a beautiful 10 pound 4 ounce baby boy we lovingly named Tommy.
About a year and a half later we decided it would be fantastic to give Tommy a baby brother or sister. So in February 2002 we talked with Dr. Sahakian who had always remained professional, positive and realistic about our situation. After a long talk we decided to try again. We underwent several more rounds of IVF procedures and through it all was this man, a Doctor who showed us compassion, determination and even a sense of humor to help us through this emotionally challenged time.
On September 1, 2003 Labor Day! My pregnancy test came back positive!
Two weeks later we heard the great news that I was carrying twins! Another miracle at the hands of Dr. Sahakian.
Today Dave, Tommy and I are enjoying life with our beautiful nine-month-old identical girls, Nicole and Taylor born healthy and happy April 26, 2004.
Whenever I talk to anyone who suffers as we did with infertility problems I have two words for them Dr. Sahakian.
Not a day goes by that we do not count our blessings and Thank you Dr. Sahakian from the bottom of our hearts for being here to help people fulfill their dreams.
